The location is ideal. It is away from the crowds but still within a 5-6 minute walking distance to where the crowds are. The hotel is quite large, clean, and modern. An impressive lobby greets you. The complimentary water and detox water in the lobby is a nice touch. Our room was upgraded due to availability. Breakfast was also complimentary. Spa facilities were available, but we didn't have time to use them. Breakfast (considering that the hotel is run in line with Japanese culture) reflects cultural values. Options such as fish and rice, which are part of this culture, are available at breakfast. However, there are also options that appeal to a universal breakfast experience (oats, fruit, scrambled eggs, bread varieties, etc.). The only thing missing for us at breakfast was olives. I know that olives are not a common food at breakfast, but it would have been nice to have them. The breakfast was very successful in my opinion, with honey served in small jars, high-quality brands used for butter and cream cheese options, various types of milk available, and quality coffee options. The bed in the room was very comfortable, the pillows were soft, and the blankets were spotless. The suite is quite spacious in terms of square footage. The window isn't very large, but the view is satisfying. The only thing missing in the suite was hotel slippers. It was surprising that there were no slippers in the room, especially in such a luxurious setting. The elevators are incredibly fast and comfortable. The reception is available at all hours and the staff are genuinely friendly. During the day, we encountered housekeeping staff in the corridor, and even though there was some distance between us, they greeted us. This was a very pleasant gesture. You can feel that you are receiving professional hotel service from every department of the hotel at all times.

The staff were very accommodating and kind, they put up with our 'in progress' German and helped us out in English when we needed help! The room was very comfy and clean and serviced daily. I requested some black tea and milk and a kettle and tea bags were delivered to my room before we'd made it back upstairs, which was very kind. The bar staff were lovely and the hotel in general has a very upmarket feel without being pretentious, and the atmosphere is very relaxed. I've personally had a very restorative week and the Clayton hotel has certainly helped towards that. Thanks 😊

The initial meeting and greet was really friendly, the Executive Suite fabulous; the pool, spa and bar facilities great. Brilliant location in Little Tokyo and within walking distance to the main train station, The Altstadt (Old Town) district and the Rhein river. The Greek food and the Schöfferhofer Weissbier in Bar & Co around the corner is fabulous too, along with great hand roasted coffee at Röstzeit Kaffeerösterei.

this hotel is a very easy walk from Dusseldorf's main station. Nice reception area and bar. Very good size and comfortable room; it is clean and well maintained although the exterior looks a little dated. There was a fridge and coffee machine in the room which were both very handy. Perfectly adequate hanging space for clothes but surprisingly limited shelving. Didn't hear much from other guests.

Located directly in Little Tokyo of Düsseldorf for everyone who is looking to experience Japanese lifestyle & culture with a subway station in less than 5min of walking distance if you’d like to check out the rest of the city as well. Apart from its location the hotel’s rooms aren’t just really beautiful (modern minimalistic), but also exceptionally clean and air conditioned.
